This is one of my favourite contemporary YAs. I've read it twice from the library and plan to buy it next time I'm at Powell's. I can't really put my finger on why I love this book so much, but I think maybe it's because it feels so honest. And it's funny, too.
Easily my favourite adult novel of the year (I mostly read Young Adult because that's what I write). Funny, subtle and overall just a great read. Everyone I've told about it who read it loved it too.
One of my favourite books of the year. And now an NBA finalist. Don't miss this one. Especially if you're like me and a bit squeamish about the tougher subjects...it's handled beautifully and it's a wonderful book.
