A must read for history lovers. The ten years of research done by Elizabeth Kostova is obvious is in every chapter of the book. The warmth and love she put into this masterpiece will leave you wondering how anyone could be so brilliant. The story begins to be told by a 16 year old girl and gradually brings in the other people that looked mythology in the face. If your not a history lover yet this book might very well be the one that will leave you hooked. Briliant book. It's Dracula by Bram Stoker; endulged in class, eloquence and caffeine. Read it before the movie comes out this later this year. you wont regret it. read it and check out her new novel The Swan Thieves signed copy from Powell's available Jan. 27.

How can anyone dislike this original work? Although it may seem primitive and dull now it was a breakthrough in its time and definitely worth reading now if your a true literature lover. What almost killed it for me was that it is forced on high school students when in reality, The Catcher in the Rye, has merit to stand on its own.

Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut

Kurt Vonnegut is brilliant with his dark comedy in Slaughterhouse-Five. It's his best work that I've read to date. Worth the time.(4 of 9 readers found this comment helpful)
