Loved this book - magic, romance, battle, excitement, everything a gal could want.
In fact I was enjoying it so much, that when my copy was destroyed in a car fire, the FIRST thing I HAD to replace was this book, so I could see how it ended!

This view into the memories of a woman priest are both enlightening, and fascinating.

I was surprised to find myself enjoying a story with such a religious bent; this not being my usual sort of story.

Gone for Soldiers by Jeff Shaara

This was a real learning experience - A period of our history which was not covered in my public education. Meeting Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S. Grant, and several other future players in the US Civil War, earlier in their careers. You've heard the quote: "Great leaders are made, not born" - this is where many of the great leaders of the Civil War were made.
