Powells.com encourages their customers to write their Rating and Review on products. The reviews and ratings displayed on the product page generally influence other customers on their buying decisions. As part of promotional activity, reward schemes/contests are displayed from time to time to attract customer’s attentions to write their rating and reviews on products.The system calculates average rating for the product based on the customer’s rating.Customer’s moniker/nickname/username is published with the comments. Customer may create a new moniker or select an existing moniker, nick name while writing a comment. If the user does create a moniker and has no nickname, then the username is published.Http links are stripped out from the review comments. Comments are published real-time.If a customer finds any review comment objectionable, they may report a comment. All such requests are reviewed by marketing. If they find comment not fit for publishing, the comments are taken off.System displays all a consolidated comments posted by a customer on various products.Customer can also provide feedback if a customer comment was helpful. The feedback is provided in the form of ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. The feedback result (Yes & No counts) is shown real-time.
