Leibovitz's photographs are perhaps "ironic" as sometimes stated, but more often than not, I find her work staggering, even alarming in how she can image even the most horific with a beautiful face.
Leibovitz "courts and sparks" the shadows that we all seek to hide behind. A date with such would be indeed sublime.
