Lyra's Oxford is a wonderful short story written in true Pullman form. His descriptive style never ceases to amaze me. No author has pulled me into his world so completely since Tolkien. My only complaint is with it's length. At 49 pages it's more of a tease and I daresay it was a result of so many requests for yet another book from one of the best stories I've ever read... His Dark Materials. Give us more Lyra and Will, Mr. Pullman!

Lyra's Oxford is a wonderful short story written in true Pullman form. His descriptive style never ceases to amaze me. No author has pulled me into his world so completely since Tolkien.
