I adore the illustrations and characters in Mo Willems books. This dialouge between two clever animals is especially enjoyable. It is so funny and engrossing and also perfect for an emerging reader. My seven year old sons take turns reading the different colored speech bubbles. "There is a Bird on Your Head" builds confidence and makes us crack up too.

This book is perfect for a smart child with a great sense of humor. (I can't think of a 5 yr old that doesn't enjoy a laugh) It is also a good match for a nervous parent. I gigled while I also got a lump in my throat the first time I read it.
