The Pot Thief Who Studied Pythagoras
The Pot Thief Who Studied Pythagoras

This is a really wonderful book. It is about a man living in Albuquerque who has studied ancient pots, and can create replicas in his shop. He is so well versed in this, he can also find authentic ancient pots in the countryside, and he sells these as well. In the first book, he is also tasked with removing an ancient pot from a museum and solving a few murders. The POV is a great voice, with a humerous outlook on life.

This murder mystery is set in contemporary Chicago. It features an ex-cop, turned PI who is approached by his former partner to look into a violent crime from the past.
Highly recommended.

Curiosity Killed the Cat Sitter (Dixie Hemingway Mysteries)

KarenM, September 2, 2011

This contemporary Florida mystery is not necessarily a cozy, although it does showcase cats and dogs. How can one person find so many bodies, and not be more of a suspect? Read and see. Recommended.

Dog on It: A Chet and Bernie Mystery

What a very distinctive voice for a protagonist. It was a good mystery also. I've recommended it to my mother and my book group. Everyone likes it!
