I love how well he describes Scotland, and I want
to go back. I also like how relaxing these are to read. It's like there is a mystery
going on in the background and the story is really about the people and their
real lives. I like the pace of these books too, there's no hurry and I know it'll get
sorted out by the end. I don't feel anxious to figure out what happened, and
I doubt Isabel does either.
This is a great book. It's clearly well-researched, but instead of a dry fact narrative it is very engaging. It's also presents a fascinating aspect to the current political struggles in Iraq. Anyone contemplating the upcoming election should read this book.
