A delightful reading experience to be savored. Yes, it is a detective story, but so much more: a memoir, a travelogue, and a non-fiction book about philosophy. As the author tells his tale your thinking evolves and becomes more sophisticated along with his. Nothing turns out to be black or white, and this book does such a better job of exploring the "fifty shades of gray" than that other book. Lots of fun for those who like a mental challenge with a sense of humor. I highly recommend for anyone with an inquiring mind.
