This is yet another lyrically written book from Ms. Allende. She magically is able to mix in history with fiction in telling the story of Ines. I was amazed at the strength of Ines in her founding of Peru. Beautiful story!

i completely agree with charisse. this book is the book that will not just sit at the coffee table, but will become a destination guide for those who love this city as much as the next person on the max. i have lived and explored portland for years, and this book inspired me to do it even more.
