I recently read this book, having gotten it at the library, and can't wait to get it for my very own! The world of Darkover has a society of strong-willed women, known by the uninitiated as Amazons... the characters are delightful, the story surprising and a fabulous read, and the whole world is intriguing...I'll have to read more Darkover books next!
