Olive Kitteridge is a character that will not soon be forgotten. She is larger than life and shines through the whole book. The way she links all the stories makes Elizabeth Strout a genius.

An Irish Country Christmas (Irish Country Books) by Patrick Taylor

This is the third book in the series and I love them all. An Irish Country Doctor, and an Irish Country Village came first. Perfect books to curl up in an afghan in front of a fire with a cup of hot chocolate (or a hot toddy)and spend an enjoyable evening.
