First, let me start by admitting that I am an unabashed fan of Nick Bantock. I enjoy the often confusing, sometimes puzzling stories he weaves. Griffin & Sabine entertained me through repeated readings. I expect Wildflower will do the same, having just finished the first reading.
I appreciate the thought provoking process of reading a Nick Bantock book, whether it was warranted or not, I can't say. Sometimes the pictures at the bottom caused pause to determine if they fit with the text.
Ana's behavior was unpredictable; trusting then not. I couldn't be sure I liked her, especially as fortuitous as she was hooking up with just the right people and circumstances to lead her on her quest.
I enjoyed reading it and will again before the year is out.
I loved the artwork at the bottom of the pages (heavy high quality paper) it kept me wondering about the creation process~ and could I do something reminiscent with my own art work.
I own a first edition, autographed (by the author in Santa Monica CA 2 Nov 06) copy.
