I was a kid of the 50s growing up in the Columbia River Gorge, going to school in Corbett, I saw alot
of the trains going through the gorge, (living not too
far from the rails). In the early years, I remember the
sound of the occasional steam locomotive going by
belching smoke, ringing bells, and blowing steam whistles. This book brought back all those memories,
and thoughts of earlier innocent times, growing up in
such a wonderful and magical place!
I highly recommend it for anyone!!
