This book and the author are very disappointing.
After the story, which was more filler then anything, the author became very self-indulgent and tooted her own horn about how great she is and her series. She then devotes a page to trying to sell more stuff devoted to fever world. I used to be a huge fan and I put an emphasis on the words USED TO. I was a member of the forum, but have stopped going as the author and her staff seem to have become consumed with the almighty dollar.
The book itself lacked. If you are at all familiar with the Anita Blake series after Obsidian Butterfly, that is what this book reminded me of. Mindless meaningless sex. The author contradicts herself in this book from the past in the series. I know I will not be buying another book from this author ever again. She seems to have forgotten that the story is what fans want, not a bunch of extra crap. We want answers not filler. I have spoken with other x fans and all my friends that have read all her books agree, it seems she has sold out for the money.
Needless to say Moning is loosing fans at an alarming rate. Such a shame.
