Another wonderfully moving book by Hosseini. He is such a gifted writer. From page one you are invested in the characters and must know what becomes of them. Excellant book and author!

I loved this book from beginning to end. Some of the story was excruciating to read because you felt the character's pain so deeply but it was a truly moving book. I loved the characters and the story. Hosseini is an extremely talented author. I actually read his other book, "A Thousand Splendid Suns" first and could not wait to read this. I was not disappointed. I can't wait for more books by him.

This book deals with the intricate dynamics of family relationships and how they affect our lives now and for many years to come. Holli is forced to deal with her past family problems when she is trying to help her son deal with his current problems. Very interesting book and the characters were all unique and likeable.

This book was more of a history lesson in the Middle Eastern Countries and their conflicts within than a personal memoir. It was much too in depth for me. I enjoyed the personal narratives of the book when she described her early life, courtship and marriage to King Hussein but didn't enjoy the continuos history lesson which consumed the majority of the book. I did finish the book with a wonderful impression of the Queen Noor and King Hussein but bored with the book in general.
