I love it when a non-fiction book is more entertaining and unbelievable than a novel! This is a great read and so much fun!

Special Diets for Special Kids, Volumes 1 and 2 Combined: Over 200 Revised and New Gluten-Free Casein-Free Recipes, Plus Research on the Positive Effe

More than just a gluten & dairy free cookbook, this book is full of information on food additives & allergies and was a huge help to my family when we were first attempting to go gluten free. This is the one book you'll need if you're struggling with not only how to change your child's diet but how to do it safely & accurately!

Ronin by Frank Miller

A classic in every sense, this may be the last great graphic novel to be made into a movie but it's been influencing films for decades. The characters, artwork & entire plot have been stolen & reworked by others but have never come close to capturing the original vision. Do yourself a favor; experience the original & let Frank MIller show you what a graphic novel can do.

The Murder of the Century: The Gilded Age Crime That Scandalized a City and Sparked the Tabloid Wars by Paul Collins
The Murder of the Century: The Gilded Age Crime That Scandalized a City and Sparked the Tabloid Wars

Who knew a grisly true-life murder mystery would be so entertaining!?! As you might expect from a Portland State University professor, author Paul Collins' research is extensive & detailed but it's his surprisingly fun way with words & vivid descriptions of 1897 New York that draw you in. Practically a history of how tabloid journalism began, this book couldn't be more timely, especially regarding ethically challenged newspaper owners starting a media frenzy. Fast paced & often hilarious, appealing to both mystery & history fans, yet again, Paul Collins has shown fact is stranger than fiction!
