The Urban Cookbook is a substantial and shiny book full of goodness. Yes, it has recipes, but even more exciting are the culture pieces that coordinate with every city. Art, fashion, music, and the people putting all this creativity out there are profiled and interviewed. It's a great read, with the bonus of recipes to evoke the feel of each city included.
This unique collection takes you on a journey all over the world to experience intimate thoughts and diverse perspectives. The uniting theme, smells, is a really fresh take on anthology style.
