The Last Dragonslayer (Chronicles of Kazam) by Jasper Fforde
The Last Dragonslayer (Chronicles of Kazam)

Wow, good story. It's quirky and silly. Near the middle it feels like it's not going anywhere-- then the next thing you know, you're crying. Twice. Lovely story with a good ending.

Would-Be Witch by Kimberly Frost

I decided to read this book because I needed something light and fun. What I didn't expect was to fly through the series in a matter of days. I just couldn't put them down. They are fun-- lots of fun. The story is deceptively complex, but not hard to follow. I recently heard that the author plans to add a few more titles to this series and I can't wait to fly through those too.

Protagonist Meter
I might as well put her in the middle. She's got the potential to be a kick butt witch, but it hasn't been realized quite yet. I'm truly hoping that we get some awesomeness from her in the future.
