The similarities between this book and Life of Pi are incredible! It is worth reading and making a comparison. Halfway through the book, which was written long before Life of Pi, I was amazed by the number of coincidences between the two books. Too similar and too many to be coincidences only.
The story changes its focus in the second half of the book and Moacyr Scliar gets a bit lost.
