Leni Zumas's writing crackles. Her books are sharp, bleak, funny, and possibly dangerous. When her collection of short stories, Farewell Navigator,...

WOW! When I first heard about this book the person described it as a really good book about a guy who slaps a child at a BBQ and what happens because of that. So I thought that sounds interesting and bought it. Little did I know what I was in store for! That description I was given was true, but it was about that and SO much more! I loved the way the writer made each chapter about a different person. I always find that type of writing really interesting and it always just really sucks me in! The characters are amazing and I found myself agreeing and disagreeing with each and every one of them. It made me think, which is always a plus in a book, and it made me want to tell others and share it, which I have done several times! That the story didn't happen in the US was interesting also. Some of the words they use I wasn't always positive about, but it was cool to read them and figure it out. So all in all, as you can gather, I really liked it, and would highly recommend giving it a read!
When I first started reading I thought it would be just a hot, steamy story. (not complaining :0) But then as I read further it started to actually have an exciting plot, and I couldn't put it down! I just love a good mystery, and boy this one really turned out to have that and a whole lot more! I agree with another comment on here, that it would make an awesome movie!
Wow,I just finished this great book! I thought the author did an excellent job with this story and truly made you feel it was so real. There were molments of tears and laughter, and I can't imagine reading this and not questioning yourself with what you would do if this happened to you. I really enjoyed all the family members and how each one dealt with the situation. Again, you won't be disappointed, I couldn't put it down!
Wow, loved this book! It's a great story, that's told really well. It was an amazing fast read that when it was over I went right to the computer to see what else this author has written!
Enjoy!
