These daily inspirations make it easier for me to get out of bed. Each one sets the day in perspective and gives me that gentle kick in the backside that I need to remember who's in charge (not me) and whose behavior I can control (nobody's but mine) so I can have a better day today, which really, is all we have, right?
OK, look... all you people who are already happy, just skip reading this book. If you're like me and you thought happiness was something only _other_ people had, give this book a shot. It's a quick read, and the ideas, though not new, are simple to implement. Best of all, there are tons of stories about happy people, and that makes me (and you, I hope) feel happy! You can't lose. Really!
I am amazed! After reading only the first several chapters, I was able to practice the principles, and actually wound up happier! In one day! The simple concepts are easy to weave into daily decisions to help change old thinking patterns that kept me tending toward unhappiness. The stories are interesting and inspiring, even the ones about those who are not happy (and it's so easy to see why!). I _very_ highly recommend this book. The ideas are simple, and I think if I can benefit from it, anyone can! Buy several and give one to your grumpy friends!
