What Comes After Crazy by Sandi Kahn Shelton
What Comes After Crazy

Lynn Lesperance, January 17, 2013

Mas just wants a normal life. It's what she's always wanted and never found. With a cast of characters ranging from her larger than life, fortune-telling mama to her n'er do well of a husband, she is surrounded by everything BUT normal. She is unhappy in her job and her marriage but she has two young daughters she adores and an optimistic nature. Will that be enough? Can she ever find what she truly wants? Will she recognize it if it ever happens? An enjoyable romp.

Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan
Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore

The title drew me in. The bookstore, the characters, the Quest, and the insider's peek at Google kept me there. The glow-in-the-dark cover is icing on the cake.

Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver
Flight Behavior

A hard book to put down - and even harder to forget. A well told tale about people worth caring about with an important message about our environment.

The End of Your Life Book Club by Will Schwalbe
The End of Your Life Book Club

Lynn Lesperance, December 28, 2012

A well-written memoir of the last two years the author, Will Schwalbe spent with his mother as she died of pancreatic cancer. More about the mother than the books but still an engaging read.
