Dark, chilling, everything we expect in this series and more. Charlie Parker is at it again with all the thrills amped up in this edition to John Connoly's spooky series Connoly's characters are real, neither all good nor all bad and as usual, they remind us of our own flaws and regrets. As Charlie works to solve the mystery and uncover a dark plot against children, he confronts his own demons and manages to let a few go. This may be the best yet in this series.

I couldn?t put this latest addition to the Women's Murder Club series down! I read it in one sitting. Lindsay Boxer is a great female character: flawed, but heroic and fiercely protective of those she loves. The 6th Target is a roller-coaster ride, full of surprises and shocks, with a set-up at the end for, hopefully the next outing in this series.

Sanford is in great form as is his hero, Lucas Davenport. Tough, flawed, and smart, Davenport defeats the bad guys again in this latest installment of the Prey series. Combining a bevy of intriging characters with twisting, intersecting plots, the author weaves an engrossing thriller and keeps you on the edge despite knowing who the real villians are. Davenport is certainly not "losing" his edge and neither is the author. As usual, I didn't want to put this latest installment in the Prey series down and can't wait until the next outing with Lucas Davenport.
