Bitterblue (Graceling) by Kristin Cashore
Bitterblue (Graceling)

I wasn't sure if this book could be as good as Graceling, but I was not disappointed! It began a bit slow, but soon took off. There were twists, turns, mysteries, excitement, and even some surprises! I can't wait to read the next book! It was great!

Graceling by Kristin Cashore

I read this book as a middle school teacher, but also as a lover of the fantasy genre. It was excellent! There was something for everyone, action, adventure, romance, and a little magic thrown in. I would highly recommend this to any lover of YA fantasy.

Gone (Gone Novels) by Michael Grant
Gone (Gone Novels)

As a middle school teacher I read a lot of young adult and teen fiction. This novel (series) is a MUST HAVE! A group of kids (all under the age of 15) suddenly find themselves isolated in their town without any adults. They must strive to not only figure out how to get their parents back, but to create their own culture in the meantime. It is not only exciting, but also a statement on human nature and society as a whole. Great book. I am on my way to the second in the series!
