The author paints realism in the all parts of the book, leaving out no detail that might lessen from the story. I particularly like how her research has made each character "real" and believable, which is hard for most to do when writing about "out of time" transferance. It takes your interest from the first page to the last. AND! I like how she left enough mystery for the sequel, which, I'm buying!
