My sister slept with the light on until she was 27. She rightfully blames me. I would leap out of closets with my hands made into claws. I would...

Brent Weeks surpasses himself from "The Black Prism" in creating a dynamic world of magic and adventure. What I like most of this book, is the way Weeks' characters constantly build and evolve. They don't follow their fantasy archetypes but instead are allowed to grow as individuals. Weeks' ups the action in his second novel of the series as Kip discovers more truths and even more dangerous secrets in "The Blinding Knife".
Elyse McCord is as shy as they come but when a dog's life is in danger she turns into a mighty warrior. However when her life is threatened by gun point Andrew Stone, a widower out to find his wife's killer, sweeps Elyse from danger. Elyse looks to her savior and finally for the first time in the longest time feels comfortable talking to someone she doesn't know. Confidence she finds within Andrew and she feels his strength fill her soul throughout the book. "Cowgirl at Heart" captured my attention and my heart. The characters are so realistic and I closely related to Elyse and her struggles she had dealing with large groups. This book is one most people can enjoy especially when a lighthearted story with a great plot and characters is wanted!

Love Finds You in North Pole, Alaska is an instant classic from the publishers at Summerside Press. The story engages the readers into a town most of us probably never knew existed! The heart and soul of the story will play on your heart strings, make you laugh, and at times make tears fall from your eyes; all while you fall in love with the town, the characters, and the adventure.
Jingle Bell Babies is the perfect end to the mini series "After the Storm". Kathryn Springer has once again stunned me with her amazing ability to write such lively and likeable characters! Being an avid reader on the search for a good book, I was blown away by how well this book caught and kept my attention. I was automatically brought back to the small Kansas town that I enjoyed reading so much about in the past 5 books and it seemed as if I was right back where I had been a month earlier! I didn't feel the need to reread any of the other books from the series to catch up (but that definitely didn't stop me!) and I wasn't left wondering what had happened to earlier couples brought together at the end of this story! The ending left me with a warmed heart this past Christmas season and the book left my laughing, smiling and having to read it 10 times since Christmas!!!
