Life Continues offers a realistic view of living with MS, leavened with humor and insight. Carmen's voice comes clearly through, and its a voice of compassion for herself and others, patience (and impatience), warmth, and creativity (and did I mention humor and insight?). The book provides an intimate portrait of life w MS for someone like me, who does not have it. I sent it to my cousin, who has MS, and she replied, "What a delightful surprise Life Continues was, and it arrived at the perfect time. During what has been a difficult time, it has been comforting to remember that life does continue, even during times of adversity. IF MS has taught me one thing, it is that I have a clear choice " I can dwell on the things I can’t do or can’t do as well any longer and die a little each day OR I can choose to live each day with excitement and joy, accepting life as a miraculous gift. The latter is by far the best choice! This book affirms that. Thank you for thinking of me.”
