Republic, Lost: How Money Corrupts Congress--And a Plan to Stop It

Once again, Lessig is a voice of reason, but also again, few seem to hear that voice. Lessig's Tells elucidate how this country has gone from being for the people, by the people to for the moneyed, by the moneyed. His solutions are simple: campaign reform, campaign reform, campaign reform, campaign reform! This nonpartisan take on restoring the government to the citizens is not a new idea, but his ideas about how this might be accomplished are well thought out, although I personally don't agree with his suggestion that the Occupy Movement come together with the Tea Party Movement for one simple reason: far too many politicians who are part of the current problem have aligned themselves with the Tea Party Movement and, in fact, seem to manipulate it for their own gain. So I cannot support that union unless and until those influences are scrubbed clean. But, still and all, this is an excellent read and I highly recommend it!
