Darth Bane: Path of Destruction: A Novel of the Old Republic (Star Wars) by Drew Karpyshyn
Darth Bane: Path of Destruction: A Novel of the Old Republic (Star Wars)

Matthew Crutcher, September 19, 2008

After reading this book, Drew Karpyshyn is now one of my favorite sci-fi authors. Path of Destruction tells the story of where the Rule of Two began, and what started the long line that would end with Emperor Palptine overthrowing the galaxy. This book reveals what Sith were like 2000 years before the Galatic Empire. Before Darth Bane's Rule of Two, the Sith were numerous, and had formed an alliance called the Dark Brotherhood, this book tell's in amazing detail what it was like, and what sparked event's leading to the eventual destruction of the Jedi Order. The book is very engaging, and breaks away from the tradition of the good guy having to win. You feel almost like your there and it makes the movies more enjoyable to watch as you gain a greater understanding when you read this book. The book is a must read for any true Star Wars fan as you will find yourself, as I did, reading this book more than once. It has every element in it, Action, Adventure, Mystery, and even Romance. It is truly a gem admist the average sci-fi fantasy books because of the way it tells it. Simply put if your a Star Wars fan you don't want to miss this book, you won't want to put it down.
