Eaarth: Making a Life on a Tough New Planet by Bill McKibben
Eaarth: Making a Life on a Tough New Planet

Maura, January 2, 2011

This is the most important book you will ever read. It changed my understanding of catastrophic global climate change and how we must adapt to the new planet we live on -- which is not the one we were born on. You must read it, and share it with or give it to all the people you care about.

Waiting for an Army to Die: The Tragedy of Agent Orange

Maura, October 22, 2007

This is the definitive source for people interested in how the U.S. government treated its young men and women who served in Vietnam in the armed forces. It would certainly make sense for every soldier going off to Iraq in the 21st century to take a look back at what happened to our predecessors a generation ago, and to see how much their service was appreciated and rewarded. I hope Dr. Wilcox updates and reprints this book sometime soon; it's about time the effects of Agent Orange on our soldiers and on the people of Vietnam were reassessed and the information republished. Is anyone paying attention?????
