I was missing the "Girl with Dragon Tattoo" series and explored other nordic inspired literature. The Reykjavik Thriller series is really good. The lead detective is a curmudgeon character who you come to love learning more about his history. A scientific thread runs through the series with a focus on genetics and homogeneity in Iceland. I highly recommend these books.
