This book is a satire about optimisim, about how the world is an ugly and unfair place, but that we ought to "tend to our gardens." This book was so ridiculous in its unhappiness that I burst out laughing several times. It isn´t a boring classic, I´d say it´s even more bloody than anything Mel Gibson could put out, but it´s put in an intelligent way. I really liked this book, it´s easy and fun to read, and I rather agree with a great deal of it.

This is quite a good book. For a mystery story it is character heavy and emotion heavy, but it is still very clever. Penny explores the pain of betrayal and sometime uncontrallable love of platonic relationships with poetry and mystery. I really enjoyed the read, I´d definitely pick up another book by Penny.
