Marjorie has a beautifully descriptive style of writing filled with imagination that will almost remind you of poetry.
SOUL SONG is a wonderful introduction into the Dirk & Steele series. Although it's the sixth installment in the paranormal drama series, this particular book does not have a member of the agency as either hero or heroine, so readers will not feel lost if they haven't read the previous books.
In SOUL SONG, M'Cal, a mermaid prince who's been imprisoned by a witch's spell, is ordered to murder gifted fiddler Kitala Bell. The two end up in a tangled web of murder, magic, crooked cops, and impossible love that they must conquer together if they are to save their souls.

Bovard clearly has a Neoliberal bias in a world where the rich only get richer and the poor get poorer as a result of horrific and damaging trade policies encapsulated in globalization and propelled by the WTO, IMF and World Bank. I for one admit it is important to see the justifications used by the Neoliberal camp, however understand that this is Pure Propaganda.
