I have read this book twice (with a year space in between readings) and read it within three days both times. Absolutely entertaining, funny and horrifying. I keep giving this book to people and have to repurchase it for myself. Also, this book opened up the story of the siege of Leningrad for me, something I didn't know much about before. Now I'm reading historical accounts about it...what a scary, sad story, also fascinating.
