This is by far one of the best fantasy books that I have ever read. The story line is very original and the characters come alive on the pages. Knowing Mercedes Lackey (and being an avid fan) I'm used to her style of writing and didn't get overly frustrated when it took some time for the story to move along. Once the story picked up, however, it didn't slow down again.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves fantasy, especially if they love to read about magic, unicorns, dragons, elves, demons, good vs. evil, etc. etc. These books are fabulous and are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat!
