The Children's Blizzard (P.S.) by David Laskin
The Children's Blizzard (P.S.)

Nancy, June 30, 2013

A factual rendering of the massive crippling storm and loss of lives in the 1888 Blizzard of January 13th. As I read this book I couldn't help praying the settlers would keep their children home on this day. Intense reading which wouldn't allow you to put the book down for a moment.

This is a must read for fans of history, and a well written true tale.

Polo by Jilly Cooper

Nancy, January 1, 2013

A break neck read FROM START TO FINISH. Hard Polo Players that will win your heart. Plenty of colorful characters that steal your soul. You will root and care for them. I completely fell in love with the polo ponies..they give their last breath to place the ball where the rider can hit it.

Plemty of Sex.Parties, hard riding, harder playing.

Players by Jilly Cooper

Nancy, August 4, 2012

This novel was a wild ride and unstoppable blast to read. I'm always thrilled when Rupert Campbell Black plays a major roll in the story. In this delightful romp, all your favorite characters come together to form a televison corperation and take over the airwaves in style and force.

Also finally Rupert meets his match in Taggie and everything turns like a well oiled wheel into mayhem and tears..

Note to readers: Rivals and Players is the same novel. I found out the hard way that Players was renamed but no way on the book rivals does it state this. (Until you open and start reading..lol)
