More of the same self-deprecating humor from the author of 'Running With Scissors'. 'Possible Side Effects' is a great companion to Burroughs's other books but I don't recommend it if you haven't read his other work.

It was interesting to see the author struggle to define his roles as a father and as a son throughout his life. I learned more about rural life in Oregon as well.
