I love the Anita Blake series. I loved it absolutely until Cerulean Sins. I find it hard to like these books still. I read them because I hope that they will regain some of their original fun and mystery. However, I must say I'm really disappointed in the readings of everything from Cerulean Sins to The Harlequin. The Harlequin was something better to read. At the release of Danse Macabre, Hamilton swore she got all of the sex out of her system. She said it was a phase. I trust her in this and continue to read holding onto to that same strand of hope. The sex wasn't the problem, ignoring the main characters' base personalities was the problem. I was hoping the book titled "Blood Noir" would hold more terror, but I suppose it could have been worse. I'm sorry to see so many fans have lost their hope. Sometimes I re-read the first 10 books just hold on to it.
