A real eye opener that touches on every topic you can think of when it comes to making a more sustainable world. I share Girardet's passion for the environment so this book was an inspiration to me in many ways. Not only was it inspirational, it was educational; exploring the history of the first cities and urban developments and the effects these developments had on the health and prosperity of the people who inhabited them.
Best book I have read on leadership thus far. Kouzes & Posner make this an easy read with appropriate and applicable lessons on how to be an outstanding leader! Highly Recommended.
Interesting Book. The most intriguing chapters are those that discuss the effectiveness of the interviewing process and financial impacts on decision making.
This book is one volume of the 'Opposing Viewpoints' series. It discusses why we should consider opposing viewpoints, the importance of choosing a life philosophy, and then discusses controversial topics such as the meaning of life, religion, right and wrong.
An excellent book! I read this book years ago as a request for all employees at the salon I was working at. This short but powerful story of the Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle, WA has left a lasting impression on my life. I highly recommend this book!
