I laughed until I cried when I watched this movie. With government spending going haywire, it is just as relevant today as it was when it was written in 1938. We should all have the courage to stand for our convictions that Martin Vanderhof does- and the sense of humor to go along with it.

Now here's a book you can raise a drink to. Written with humor and panache, you can learn the history and social surroundings of home made liquor. And you can even make some yourself- if you have the gumption!
This should be in every woman's library, not just those going through menopause. It is full of great information on how a woman's body and mind works throughout the aging process, what hormones we have and what ones we may or may not need. It also has resources for physicians and pharmacies that can provide the services that every woman needs.

This is an enchanting book about faith and family. The rich prose and engaging characters transport you to a time long gone, but is still relevant to today's issues of belief, personal relationships and destiny.

Life imitates art. We are fast becoming a society of displaced workers- displaced not only by machines but also by the outsourcing of our jobs. In true Vonnegut style, even his first book is a relevant as ever. It is a must-read for anyone who is entering the business world, works in it or has retired from it.
