The Workman Page-A-day Dog Gallery calendar is not filled with typical cute pet shots. The photographs are from a wide variety of professional photographers and are fine art quality. This is a gorgeous set of images for the dog lover, it makes a great gift. Workman Publishing also puts out a Page-A-Day desk calendar called 365 Days which is amateur snapshots. Avoid mixing the Gallery version with the 365 day version ; the image quality is very different. The Gallery Calendar is also published with cats.

Lindsey writes from Dexter's point of view with depth and gives Dexter complex substance as a character. The level of moral paradox within Dexter's character is unusual, and it is this broken dark side of Dexter fused with an oddly altruistic channel for his violence that makes the book compelling. Lindsey writes with a convincing, competent hand.
Showtime's first two episodes seem up to the task, Dexter both attracts and repulses on screen as he does within these pages.
