This is a must-read for anyone who lives in the West or who cares about water issues in our country. An honest, well-researched, and well-spoken book that reads as easily as any good fiction novel and holds you spellbound. It is gripping, heart-wrenching, and open-minded as it lays open the history and politics of water issues in the Eastern Washington/Oregon region and beyond. I have bought multiple copies of this book to give to people, just because I think it is an important book to read, and the information in this book will hopefully help to make us all better informed citizens that may learn from our past and our mistakes.
Powell's City of Books is an independent bookstore in Portland, Oregon, that fills a whole city block with more than a million new, used, and out of print books. Shop those shelves — plus literally millions more books, DVDs, and eBooks — here at Powells.com.
