Having watched the miniseries, I wanted to read the book. It is a truly engaging look at the first 30 days of the Iraq invasion, and the men that led the way. By turns, frightening, head scratching, and downright hilarious, Evan Wright makes you feel like you are right there in the thick of things. He gives a true insiders perspective of everything that goes on, and provides a very entertaining account. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants an inside look at what it means to be part of battle, and to put a face and a personality to some of the Marines that fought. Buckle up, it's a bumpy, but excellent ride.
