If I could rate this series even higher it would get a TEN STAR salute! This is the first series I have read in a long time from book one MARKED to the latest installment Burned! I just couldn't get Zoe Redbird out of my system. I NEVER buy hardbacks anymore (because I can fit more books on my bookshelves if they are paperbacks)but with this series, I just had to know what else was happening with Zoe Redbird & her group of friends. These books, although written for teens, are great for all ages! I love the characters & the dilemas they find themselves in. Good vs. Evil thrives in this series & Zoe has to continually struggle with her feelings. Even though this is a Vampire Genre, it touches on daily issues that mankind is faced with, such as loyaty, friendships, being different & so on. I strongly recommend this series, but beware, it is highly addictive! You just won't be able to stop at one book!

This is the second book in the trilogy with Lisbeth Salander a weird, albeit great heroine who is on the run, & Mikael Blomkvist who believes in her innocence although much of the evidence points against her. I liked this book more than the first in the series THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, which in my opinion started out slow & gained momentum. This book grabs you from page one with suspense non-stop to the end! You will really love this book. It's an up & down roller coaster ride with Lisbeth Salander since you never know what to expect from her. This book is shear genious!
Reader be warned! You must be ready to drink lots & lots of coffee while reading this series! Clare Cosi, newly divorced but with the ex hanging around all the time, is the manager of The Village Blend coffee house. You'll love the characters in this series & you'll find yourself wanting to read the whole series! I just can't get enough of Clare & her ex-hubby & the hunky cop that Clare has turned into a gourmet coffee believer! Included in the book are many recommendations for a great brew of coffee & coffee cakes as well. You won't be able to put this book down until you finish the very last page!
