Telegraph Avenue by Michael Chabon
Telegraph Avenue

RDerevan, January 2, 2013

Telegraph Avenue is the latest offering from Pulitizer prize winner Michael Chabon. It tells the story of Archy Stallings and Nat Jaffe, partners in a used record store in the flats of Oakland, and their wives, who share a mid-wifery business. It is a great story, with richly-developed characters, and sentences crafted to perfection--what's not to like? Buy it now, and you won't regret it.

Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann
Let the Great World Spin

RDerevan, January 1, 2011

The best book I read in 2010. McCann creates terrific characters and a real sense of New York City.
