The Sex Lives of Cannibals: Adrift in the Equatorial Pacific by J. Maarten Troost
The Sex Lives of Cannibals: Adrift in the Equatorial Pacific

ROXHUN, March 19, 2009

Troost paints a very detailed picture of life on an island, with some shocking myth breakers.

He tells of the islands polluted beaches: Turds floating around and diapers not disposed properly.

He complains about the constant music: Macarena is tiring when you have no control of it.

He makes even some danger humorous and shows how our food preferences differ with island dwellers: They think lobsters are bottom dwellers and are not fit to eat.

He is the best when it come to his subject and makes the reading as fun as his title.
