Four (Divergent) by Veronica Roth
Four (Divergent)

Reader Eternal, August 3, 2014

Tobias Eaton is one of the most complex and fascinating characters I've ever read. Vernica Roth's new short story collection, told entirely from his point of view, gives stunning insight into this remarkable and unforgettable character. I was completely mesmerized from start to finish by these beautifully written, richly detailed scenes. Tobias is a mass of complexities and contradictions: brave, yet plagued by doubt; confident, yet heart-breakingly vulnerable; a leader with no real desire to lead. Tobias is as real as they come. These stories only add to the richness and depth of this incredible character and the series as a whole. A wonderful read!

The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay
The Sea of Tranquility

Reader Eternal, July 21, 2014

Every once in a while a story comes along that captures the imagination and the heart from the very beginning. This is one of those books. This is a standout novel in every possible way: flawless writing, superb characterizations, and breathtaking romance. The story of Nastya and Josh is so compelling, so believable, so gut-wrenchingly real. I was completely swept away by this moving, beautifully told story. It's an emotional, realistic read that pulls no punches. There's a stunning depth and complexity to these characters that is so rare. It's much more than just another run-of-the-mill romance. It's also an unflinchingly brave and honest story about the aftermath of tragedy, forgiveness, love, hatred, and hope. A truly unforgettable book.

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
Me Before You

Reader Eternal, July 13, 2014

This is a love story like no other. It's one of the most unique and moving romances I have ever read. JoJo Moyes earned a place on my must-read list with this unbelievably beautiful novel. She treats a controversial subject with an admirable grace and delicacy. Her compassion and love for her characters fairly jumps off the page. I was so unexpectedly captivated by this unpredictable, unconvential story. Breathtaking, heartbreaking, and unforgettable!

Come to Me Softly (Closer to You) by L Jackson

Reader Eternal, July 13, 2014

It's so rare to read a sequel that lives up to the promise of the original, but A.L. Jackson does it with flying colors. It was an absolute joy to read this book. I was so wholly captivated from start to finish. The tension is taut as a bowstring and pitch-perfect. The emotions of these incredible characters just leap off the page. This is a beautiful, moving, and satisfying romance that will stay with me forever.

Come to Me Quietly (Closer to You) by A. L. Jackson
Come to Me Quietly (Closer to You)

Reader Eternal, July 13, 2014

This beautiful, haunting romance is a standout in the New Adult genre. I was wholly captivated from start to finish. I found this book to be so refreshingly different. It has the edgy feel of a modern romance while still retaining all the elements of a classic romance. I couldn't help but fall in love with these flawed, memorable characters and their story. Reading this novel was a moving, emotional, and memorable experience. This is what romance is all about.
