Letter to a Christian Nation by Sam Harris
Letter to a Christian Nation

Rick, September 27, 2006

Sam Harris says it all...truthfully and consicely.
Everybody on earth needs to read this book.
They don't all have to buy it, however.
They can take my copy and pass it around.
All forms of organized religion must be destroyed as soon as possible. Here in the United States, we can start by requiring that they pay taxes on all of their real estate holdings. (Many own farms and other property that have nothing to do with their professed mission of saving souls for eternity.)
I don't know why it is not considered "child abuse" to indoctrinate children regarding GOD stuff before they are old enough to know anything for themselves.
If you don't believe in evolution, you are obviously an idiot.

A Death in Belmont by Sebastian Junger
A Death in Belmont

Rick, May 15, 2006

Just because you disagree with Junger's conclusions doesn't mean he's written a bad book. "A Death in Belmont" is intriguing and unforgettable -- and whether you agree or disagree, it's worth discussing. A must-read!
